There are many different types of structures that can be used in the hair. These are some of them:

Wigs- Structures that cover the scalp that are covered in real or synthetic hair. Originally called Periwyke or periwig but has become shortend to wig over time

Fringes- can be clipped into the hair or part of a wig. Hair that comes onto the forehead.

Hair pads- light weight structures usually filled with padding.

Switches- A piece of postiche that has long strands of hair on it. It is normally fixed or sown into the hair.

Fronts- A similar structure to a wig but made for the front of the head only.
